A little about me...
Other people have hobbies; I can be found with a highlighter and pen, digging in the pages of Scripture. I want to understand the nature and character of God, and how He invites us to a life that is so much bigger than our own.
I grew up in the church and gave my life to Jesus at a young age. I've been passionately pursuing him ever since.
I've been married to my college sweetheart for close to two decades, and we are happily raising our 3 girls in the midwest. We love adventures, especially the outdoor kind.
I've spent the last two decades serving the Church, teaching Sunday School, facilitating Bible Studies, leading worship and mentoring women.
I've led both a Women's ministry and Children's ministry for local churches.
I hold a M.A. from Wesley Seminary with a concentration in Spiritual Formation.
I believe life is good and hard and complicated and messy.
I believe God is actively working to draw all of us to himself.
I believe God is un-comprehendible, and despite our inability to grasp who he is, he invites us to know him intimately.
I believe he knows us better than we know ourselves, and he's not afraid of our questions or our mood.
I believe Jesus died to set us free from the bondage of sin, and he loves us in ways we can't fathom.
I believe that if he loves us, which he does, then we should love each other.
I believe love is an action word, and shouldn't be affected by our mood, calendar, priority lists, political standing, or how someone else is treating us.
I believe our best yes is to walk in step with him day by day.
